The Online Gamma Spectrometry Course was launched on 5th November 2000. It is based upon the successful and well-respected attendance courses regularly run in Warrington by Nuclear Training Services Ltd.
Participation in the course is normally by subscription. However, as a special offer, to celebrate the release of Practical Gamma-Ray Spectrometry (Second Edition), we are offering to allow all visitors to the gammaspectrometry.co.uk website to participate in the First Level of the course free of charge. We ask participants to supply their email address and register, in return for which they will receive a User ID and password to allow access to the site. Full details of the complete course can be found at the Online course website www.online.nucleartraining.co.uk. Indeed before embarking on the course, you would be well advised to read the documentation provided, in particular 'Information for participants' via the login page. The course is split into modules. At the end of each module is an OAF - On;ine Assessment Form, to allow you to check what you have learned from the module. Subscribers to the full course have their OAF responses and scores monitored by a tutor and facilities are available for tutor feedback to the student. After completing all modules, subscribers receive a Completion Certificate. Those facilities will not be available to participants taking advantage of the free offer.
